[NYT] “In the final weeks of a dizzying presidential campaign, Donald Trump is suddenly embracing an unlikely ally: The document-spilling group WikiLeaks which Republicans denounced when it published classified State Department cables and Pentagon secrets about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mr. Trump, his advisers, and many of his supporters are increasingly seizing on a trove of embarrassing emails from Hillary Clinton’s campaign that WikiLeaks has been publishing — and that American intelligence agencies said on Friday came largely from Russian intelligence agencies, with the authorization of “Russia’s senior-most officials.”

The Trump campaign’s willingness to use WikiLeaks is an extraordinary turnabout after years of bipartisan criticism of the organization and its leader, Julian Assange   for past disclosures of American national security intelligence and other confidential information.

The accusation that Russian agents are now playing an almost-daily role in helping fuel Mr. Trump’s latest political attacks on Mrs. Clinton raises far greater concerns, though, about foreign interference in a presidential election.

With the White House weighing its next move — from possible sanctions to covert, retaliatory cyber action — President Vladimir Putin of Russia insisted on Wednesday that his nation was being falsely accused. “The hysteria is merely caused by the fact that somebody needs to divert the attention of the American people from the essence of what was exposed by the hackers,” Mr. Putin said.

He did acknowledge that the disclosures were the work of an illegal hack — which is further than Mr. Trump went in Sunday’s debate. In one exchange with Mrs. Clinton, the Republican candidate said: “Maybe there is no hacking. But they always blame Russia,” he said, as part of an effort to “tarnish me.”

Mr. Trump has seized on more than 6,000 emails published so far this week, apparently from the personal Gmail account of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign chairman, John D. Podesta. Based on a few emails plucked from the account, Mr. Trump and his team have accused Clinton aides of improperly receiving inside information from the Obama administration.”

Hillary Clinton Comforted The World While Donald Trump Frightened It During Presidential Debate!

[WAPO] THE PRESIDENTIAL debate Monday did not absorb just Americans; it was closely followed by adversaries and allies of the United States across the globe. Many of the latter will have new cause for alarm as they reflect on a string of ignorant misstatements and irresponsible assertions by Donald Trump.

Start with Japan, the closest U.S. ally in Asia, bound to Washington by a mutual defense treaty. Mr. Trump declared:  “We can’t defend Japan” because “they do not pay us.” That will be news in Tokyo, which annually budgets some $4Billion  to cover the costs of American bases — so much that some analysts estimate it is cheaper to keep 54,000 military personnel in Japan than it would be to return them to the United States. That’s not to speak of the contribution Japan makes to defending vital U.S. interests, such as checking aggression by China and North Korea. The government of Shinzo Abe recently fought to modify the constitution so as to make deeper defense cooperation with the United States possible. Yet Mr. Trump suggests that his administration would not continue this vital alliance because “we’re losing a fortune.”

The same goes for the NATO alliance, which has kept democratic Europe secure for 65 years. Mr. Trump made some cavalier comments about an “obsolete” transatlantic alliance earlier this year, at a time when, as he conceded Monday, he hadn’t “given lots of thought to NATO.” Remarkably, with six weeks to go until the presidential election, he seems to have done no more thinking, or learning. He said NATO countries “should at least be paying us what they are supposed to be paying by treaty and contract.” But there are no such treaties or contracts; NATO is a mutual defense pact.

Mr. Trump also claimed that after he said that NATO should devote itself to terrorism, it set up a “major terror division.” (He said he learned this from a newspaper article.) Could he really be unaware, as Hillary Clinton pointed out, that the only time NATO’s mutual defense article has been invoked was after Sept. 11, 2001, and that NATO has been fighting terrorism in Afghanistan ever since? Apparently so!

The GOP candidate’s flights of fancy must have prompted some amusement as well as alarm in foreign capitals. Take his assertion that the Iranian nuclear deal should have required Tehran to “do something with respect to North Korea” and its nuclear arsenal because “Iran has power over North Korea.” Or consider Mr. Trump’s claim that “had we taken the oil. . . ISIS would not have been able to form . . . because oil was their primary source of income.” But the Islamic State obtained the majority of its oil from Syria. Is Mr. Trump saying that the United States should have invaded that country to seize its wells?

Unfortunately, Mr. Trump’s ludicrous assertions have serious implications. As Ms. Clinton put it, “words matter when you run for president.” She added, “I want to reassure our allies in Japan and South Korea and elsewhere that we have mutual defense treaties and we will honor them.” No doubt U.S. allies will be comforted if she wins in November. Between now and then, like a lot of Americans, they will fear for their future.

Hillary Clinton: Time for ‘rethinking’ of US approach to North Korea

PENSCACOLA, Fla. (AP) — Hillary Clinton said Friday it was time for a “rethinking” of America’s strategy for North Korea following the regime’s latest test of a nuclear weapon. Donald Trump and his campaign chief, meanwhile, refused to outline the Republican presidential candidate’s plans for defusing tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

aaliphotos-139

The New York billionaire, however, vowed to deploy military muscle to attack America’s enemies if provoked. Largely ignoring North Korea, he noted a recent incident in which he said Iranian ships were “toying with” an American destroyer near the Strait of Hormuz. During a Trump presidency, he promised at a Friday night rally in Pensacola, Florida, ships trying to provoke the U.S. “will be shot out of the water.”

In New York, Clinton was focused on the North Korean threat after meeting with a bipartisan group of national security experts. The former secretary of state said she would seek to impose tougher sanctions on the communist nation, arguing the latest test provides an opening to pressure China, which has been tepid in its response to North Korea’s nuclear ambitions.

“I think we have an opening here that we haven’t had for the last several years that I intend to do everything I can to take advantage of,” Clinton said. Clinton spoke hours after Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, pressed repeatedly on Trump’s plans for the region, said only, “He wouldn’t do what’s being done now.”

“He’s not going to reveal all of his plans and he’s made that very clear. And maybe someone can ask him in a debate,” Conway told “CBS This Morning.” ”But the fact is that this entire world would be put on notice that there’s a strong leader in the White House.”

North Korea’s latest atomic test was its fifth; and the second in eight months. South Korean President Park Geun-hye said the detonation, which Seoul estimated was the North’s biggest ever in explosive yield, was an act of “fanatic recklessness” and a sign that leader Kim Jong Un “is spiraling out of control.”

P resident Barack Obama condemned the test and said the U.S. would never accept the country as a nuclear power. In appearances in Florida and Washington, Trump used the North Korean development to attack Clinton. “North Korea, like so many other things, is one more Hillary Clinton failure,” he said in Pensacola.

He did not say whether he had a plan to address North Korea’s claim the test will allow it to build an array of stronger, smaller and lighter nuclear weapons. He focused instead on attacking Clinton’s credibility. He said Clinton was being “protected” during the Justice Department’s investigation into her use of a private email server while secretary of state.

“She could walk right into this arena right now and shoot somebody with 20,000 people watching, right smack in the middle of the heart, and she wouldn’t be prosecuted,” Trump said. Meanwhile, Clinton said the United States would not let North Korea pursue a nuclear weapon and said that as president, she would seek new sanctions and work closely with allies in the region, such as South Korea and Japan.

But she also said she would consider discussions similar to recent negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, because sanctions “aren’t enough.” The development in North Korea comes at the end of a week in which Trump and Clinton clashed repeatedly over national security.

The New York billionaire attacked Clinton’s record as the nation’s chief diplomat, yet he faced criticism from within his own party for refusing to outline his plans for combating foreign policy challenges, including threats posed by the Islamic State group. Trump said this week that he does indeed have a plan, but would convene military leaders in his first 30 days in office to craft another plan.

Trump has also faced criticism for praising Russian President Vladimir Putin during a high-profile national security forum earlier in the week, and appearing on a Russian-backed television network Thursday evening.

On Friday, Clinton said she was “disappointed” by Trump’s decision to appear on RT America, saying that “every day that goes by this just becomes more and more of a reality television show. It’s not a serious presidential campaign.”

With several prominent Republican national security officials already concerned about Trump’s national security acumen, Clinton has tried to cast herself as the better potential commander in chief. She has aggressively promoted her growing list of military endorsements from both parties.

On Friday, her campaign said the number of retired generals and admirals endorsing Clinton for president has grown to 110. Trump quickly countered by saying his list had ballooned to 120 former U.S. generals and admirals earlier in the week.

Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, received his first intelligence briefing Friday. The vice presidential nominee, declined to offer any specifics; since the information, was classified. Continuing her aggressive fundraising push, Clinton appeared at two fundraisers in New York. One of them was an LGBT event featuring Barbra Streisand.

Clinton is getting some help from another wealthy backer as well. Billionaire Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz said Friday he’s giving $20 million to help defeat Trump.

Lucey reported from New York. Associated Press writer Julie Bykowicz contributed to this report.

Donald Trump Is In Meltdown Mode After Successful Democratic Convention!

After four successful days in Philadelphia, you’d be hard-pressed to find a Democrat in America that isn’t feeling proud and motivated. Trump’s angry, post-DNC meltdown gives them another reason to smile.

The Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia this week was a massive success – political experts on both sides of the aisle have agreed on that. Disaffected Republicans have even openly expressed their jealousy of a convention that painted a hopeful, optimistic picture of America’s future, instead of the hells cape that Trump and company tried to portray America as during their gathering.

The DNC also took in a whopping 17 million more total viewers than the Republican clown show in Cleveland the week before.

These things bothered the thin-skinned buffoon so much that he actually distanced himself from his own convention, saying “I didn’t produce our show — I just showed up for the final speech on Thursday.”

There has been plenty of reporting to contradict Trump’s claim that he was hands-off with his convention, but we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. After all, this year’s DNC was so effective that it would’ve been hard to top in any scenario.

But that’s not nearly the end of Trump’s post-DNC meltdown.

In Clinton’s historic and well-received acceptance speech last night, she said: “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.”

Naturally, Trump spent Friday morning throwing a Twitter Tantrum, whining about Clinton’s address and the positive media coverage that followed. He also went hard after former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who called the Republican nominee a “dangerous demagogue” in his DNC speech. Trump referred to the former mayor as “little,” recycling a line he used on former GOP rival Marco Rubio.

On Thursday night in Iowa, Trump lashed out some more, saying, “‘I wanted to hit a couple of those (DNC) speakers so hard, it would make their heads spin.”

This childish outburst continued on Friday in Colorado, when Trump said, “After watching that performance last night, such lies, I don’t have to be so nice anymore. I’m taking the gloves off. Trump is gonna be ‘No more Mr. Nice Guy.’”

Under President George W Bush and his two Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, there were 13 Attacks and sixty killed.

Republicans has spent four years and millions of dollars, investigating a tragedy that was already investigated numerous times with the same conclusion, “there were no wrongdoings.”

From the George W Bush 13 attacks with 60 dead, there was ZERO investigation and what this proves is that Republicans are Bacteria and there are no known Antibiotics to cure the disease.

This November, Vote Democratic and let us give President Hillary Clinton a Democratic Senate and House of Representatives, so that President Clinton can make the necessary changes to help America become even greater than what it is.

In ruling against President Obama’s “recess appointments” that contradicts 150 years of practice by Republican and Democratic Administrations; Federal Circuit Court Judges; David B. Sentelle, Karen LeCraft Henderson and Thomas B. Griffith must have missed;

Abraham Lincoln’s 13th Amendment to the Constitution!

But why should we be surprised?

Frederick Douglass gave us the answer on September 25 1883, as to why Republican Legislators would be so unrelenting on President Obama!

“Though the colored man is no longer subject to barter and sale, he is surrounded by an adverse settlement which fetters all his movements. In his downward course he meets with no resistance, but his course upward is resented and resisted at every step of his progress.

If he comes in ignorance, rags and wretchedness he conforms to the popular belief of his character, and in that character he is welcome; but if he shall come as a gentleman, a scholar and a statesman, he is hailed as a contradiction to the national faith concerning his race, and his coming is resented as impudence.” [Frederick Douglass, September 25 1883]

HE STILL STANDS TALL!

And he still stands tall…God’s grace and peace upon this man is my prayer, and I pray that before the end of his Presidency, people’s heart, mind and eyes will open.

There will never be another like him!

May he lead and be guided in the way God would want him to lead and guide. He is not perfect and has never claimed to be. He and this whole country are in need of our prayers. It only takes a spark.

No President has ever worked this hard for our country. Many wonder, does he ever sleep?
