Don’t Forget: Hillary Clinton Is Blazing A Momentous Trail!

[WAPO – Eugene Robinson] “Not enough has been made of two obvious facts: Hillary Clinton, if she wins, will be the first woman elected to the White House. And it will have been the votes of women who put her there.

 

Think, for a moment, about what a remarkable milestone that would be. Consider what it would say about the long and difficult struggle to make the Constitution’s guarantees of freedom and equality encompass all Americans. The first 43 presidents were all members of a privileged minority group — white males. The 44th is a black man, and the 45th may well be a white woman. That is a very big deal.

 

The historic nature of Clinton’s candidacy has been all but lost amid the clamorous sound and fury of the Donald Trump eruption. The campaign has seen many unforgettable moments, but one that I believe will prove truly indelible came during the third and final debate, when Clinton was speaking and Trump interrupted her by snarling, “Such a nasty woman.”

 

Within minutes, “nasty woman” became an Internet meme — not so much because of what it said about Trump, since we already knew of his sexism and misogyny, but because of what it said about the moment. A “nasty woman” was on the verge of shattering the highest and most shatterproof glass ceiling of them all. That this accomplishment would come at Trump’s expense just made it a bit sweeter.

 

Polls show Clinton leading Trump among women by double-digit margins — an incredible 17 percentage points in a recent Fox News poll. If only men could vote, Trump would have a lead, albeit a shrinking one. But thanks to the 19th Amendment, Clinton is well ahead nationally and has taken solid leads in almost all the swing states.

 

 

Surely this has something to do with the “Access Hollywood” videotape in which Trump brags of groping and kissing women against their will — and the 11 women who have come forward to accuse him of doing just that. But I like to believe it also has much to do with Clinton and the virtues she has demonstrated during the campaign.”

 

 

We made History in 2008 Electing the First African American President that turned out to be “beyond” fantastic!

 

Let us make History again by Electing the First Woman President that is beyond “qualified” “experienced” and “intellectually temperamental” fit to serve on “Day One.”

 

 

This two Historic Moments would never happen in the Republican Party, at least for the foreseeable future. Let us hope for the good of America the GOP for once in the past 30 years do what is right for America.

[NYT] “In the final weeks of a dizzying presidential campaign, Donald Trump is suddenly embracing an unlikely ally: The document-spilling group WikiLeaks which Republicans denounced when it published classified State Department cables and Pentagon secrets about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

 

Mr. Trump, his advisers, and many of his supporters are increasingly seizing on a trove of embarrassing emails from Hillary Clinton’s campaign that WikiLeaks has been publishing — and that American intelligence agencies said on Friday came largely from Russian intelligence agencies, with the authorization of “Russia’s senior-most officials.”

 

The Trump campaign’s willingness to use WikiLeaks is an extraordinary turnabout after years of bipartisan criticism of the organization and its leader, Julian Assange   for past disclosures of American national security intelligence and other confidential information.

 

The accusation that Russian agents are now playing an almost-daily role in helping fuel Mr. Trump’s latest political attacks on Mrs. Clinton raises far greater concerns, though, about foreign interference in a presidential election.

 

With the White House weighing its next move — from possible sanctions to covert, retaliatory cyber action — President Vladimir Putin of Russia insisted on Wednesday that his nation was being falsely accused. “The hysteria is merely caused by the fact that somebody needs to divert the attention of the American people from the essence of what was exposed by the hackers,” Mr. Putin said.

 

He did acknowledge that the disclosures were the work of an illegal hack — which is further than Mr. Trump went in Sunday’s debate. In one exchange with Mrs. Clinton, the Republican candidate said: “Maybe there is no hacking. But they always blame Russia,” he said, as part of an effort to “tarnish me.”

 

Mr. Trump has seized on more than 6,000 emails published so far this week, apparently from the personal Gmail account of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign chairman, John D. Podesta. Based on a few emails plucked from the account, Mr. Trump and his team have accused Clinton aides of improperly receiving inside information from the Obama administration.”

In ruling against President Obama’s “recess appointments” that contradicts 150 years of practice by Republican and Democratic Administrations; Federal Circuit Court Judges; David B. Sentelle, Karen LeCraft Henderson and Thomas B. Griffith must have missed;

 

Abraham Lincoln’s 13^th Amendment to the Constitution!

 

But why should we be surprised?

 

Frederick Douglass gave us the answer on September 25 1883, as to why Republican Legislators would be so unrelenting on President Obama!

The Negro, even if he is President and has done what his predecessors have, is still challenged by some whites!

Judges of the U.S. Court of appeals for the D.C. Circuit; Thomas B. Griffith, Karen LeCraft Henderson and David B. Sentelle; ruled;

 

That President Obama violated the Constitution when he made three recess appointments to the National Labor Board in January of 2012. The three federal judges who issued the ruling today, January 25, 2013 are all Republican appointees. The decision was written by David B. Sentelle, an appointee of former President Ronald Reagan who is chief judge of the federal appellate court in Washington D.C.

 

This decision is unprecedented and contradicts One Hundred and Fifty [150] years of practice by Republican and Democratic Administrations. The only difference is that Obama’s predecessors were “all” white and he, Obama, is “Half-White.”

 

We have come a long way out of the pit of 2008 that the Bush Administration had tossed us into, however, we still have surmountable problems and a long way to recover from how far we fell. The stock market closed this week at a five year high; manufacturing are progressing and the unemployment is getting better, but overall, we have to continue to work together if we are going to see the “mountain top” again!
