Carly Fiorina A Shameless Liar For Blaming 2007 Job Losses On President Obama rater than George W Bush! Just how gullible are the GOP Voters that are part of the 99%? [Politifact]

“With another Republican debate comes another Carly Fiorina fact-checking field day. The Republican presidential candidate appears to have no shame in sternly proclaiming verifiably false statements on national television, and last night it was her pants-on-fire claim that “92 percent of the jobs lost during Barack Obama’s first term belonged to women.” This statement has been widely debunked, and is actually nothing more than a rehashed talking point from Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign.

WHITE HOUSE - 2016 FIORINA NEVER HAD A CHILD

Serving as the Republicans’ attack dog against Hillary Clinton, Fiorina launched into a tirade against the former secretary of state. “It is the height of hypocrisy for Mrs. Clinton to talk about being the first woman president when every single policy she espouses and every single policy of President Obama has been demonstratively bad for women.” First, Fiorina seems to forget that President Obama is not in fact running for president. She then proceeds to give the statistic about job loss.

PolitiFact reports that this statement is nothing more than an ancient myth that dates back to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign. At the time, they rated the claim “Mostly False,” because although it had some numerical validity, the figures were entirely biased. “A big problem with the claim in 2012 was that it cherry-picked the starting date for assessing Obama’s jobs track record. The recession began in December 2007, and he didn’t take office until January 2009, when it was nearly over.” In other words, you can’t blame Obama for inheriting the financial problems that the Bush administration created.

What’s more important is to look at what happened to the economy after Obama was elected. As PolitiFact reports, between 2009 and 2013, the economy saw an increase of over 400,000 working women, while total employment rose by 1.3 million. “So more women actually were working at the end of Obama’s first term compared with the day he first took office.” Of course, the Republicans will continue to ignore such facts and blame Obama for all the world’s evils.

Although she’s not the only Republican candidate who does so, Fiorina is now notorious for disregarding the facts. Her incendiary comments about Planned Parenthood in a previous debate were thoroughly disproven. And while she boasts of her business expertise, she has been named on several “worst CEO” lists. In addition to spouting falsehoods, Fiorina made a number of outrageous claims last night, suggesting that the federal minimum wage is unconstitutional.

Such shameless deception truly damages the electoral process. Even if her statements are debunked by every fact-checker on the internet, they still promote misinformation. In this case, not only did Fiorina recycle a discredited talking point from the previous election, she attempted to blame Hillary for the invented statistic about Obama’s presidency. Of course, that didn’t stop Fox News from repeating the erroneous claim the day after it was made.

The Republicans continue to live in an isolated fantasy world where it’s “speak first, check facts later,” but the web of lies that they are spinning can’t hold up for much longer.” [Politifact]

As CEO of HP, Fiorina Violated U.S. – Iran Sanctions: Selling Millions of Computers to Them

Posted in Carly Fiorina, Hewlett Packard, Politics, US Sanctions with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on September 21, 2015 by sheriffali

GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina likes to portray herself as a hard-liner on Iran. However, during Fiornia’s six-year tenure at Hewlett-Packard between 1999 and 2005, the company sold more than $100 million worth of computers and other high-tech equipment to Iranian customers, despite US export sanctions at the time. It’s a small detail she has neglected to mention while on the campaign trail.

How did HP do it? The usual corporate schemes: the products were channeled through one of HP’s European subsidiaries, and sold through an IT distributor in Dubai, known as Reddington Gulf. The sales continued long after HP sacked Fiorina. By 2007, more than 40% of printers sold in Iran bore the HP trademark.

HP had started skirting Iran sanctions in 1997, two years before Fiorina came on board. By that time, sanctions imposed by the Clinton Administration had been in place for two years. However, there was a loophole in the law that allowed HP to do business in Iran “legally,” albeit indirectly.  Under the rules in place at the time, foreign subsidiaries of American companies were considered outside of US jurisdiction. Nonetheless, the issue came to the attention of the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2009 because of concerns that the equipment might be used for military or terrorism-related purposes. HP’s legal department claimed that, because the subsidiaries were not “United States [corporate] person(s),” they were not subject to US sales restrictions.

Fiorina continued the HP scheme to get computers to Iran after she took over as CEO. Her compliance in violating US sanctions against Iran was highlighted in the Boston Globe in 2008 when Fiorina was attempting to unseat California Senator Barbara Boxer. The issue torpedoed her campaign then – and it could very well sink Fiorina again. Senator Boxer thought so when she told MSNBC: “So she’s got so many problems. I say if the Republicans choose her, we’ll walk into the presidency.”

During the first GOP debate, Fiorina declared that on her first day in office she would call Iranian leader Ali Khameni with the following message: “Until you open every nuclear and every military facility to full, open, anytime/anywhere inspections, we are going to make it as difficult as possible for you to move money around.” As CEO of Hewlett-Packard, however, Fiorina had no problem with Iran moving money into her own company’s coffers.

It reminds us of another American businessman-turned Republican politician who got wealthy doing business with a government hostile toward the US. His name was Prescott Bush – and the country in which he was doing business was Nazi Germany.

Some things never change…

Carly Fiorina ran for the US Senate Seat in California in 2010, she lost badly and to this day, she owes campaign workers over $500,000.00. But now she wants to be President! Remarkably and Heartwarming!

Carly Fiorina has “one” target on her mind, Hillary Clinton and she follows Mrs. Clinton around as though Mrs. Clinton stole Fiorina’s Dog. Every News show she goes on she calls Mrs. Clinton a Liar. On MSNBC Hardball Chris Matthews asked Fiorina to name one thing Mrs. Clinton lied about; Fiorina constant answer – BENGHAZI!

But we shouldn’t be surprised because Fiorina being a Repugnant Republican Reprobate totally bankrupt of shame, she follows in the footsteps of John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz and the other Republican Despots that wouldn’t investigate George W Bush and Dick Cheney for Billions of Dollars that are unaccounted for; Iraq’s illegal invasion; torture and sitting on their behinds for 9 months with information available to them about Al Qaeda and allowed 9/11 tragedy to occur. Under George W Bush we had 7 attacks that killed 53 people at our foreign Embassies and to this date, there isn’t one question about that.

However, after 13 investigations and more than 57 million dollars spent, Republicans are at it again. And let us not forget what Carly Fiorina and the other Republican Reprobates want to do on the first day in Office is to Repeal Obamacare with no plans for the 16 million plus people.

The Middle Class and the Poor that vote Republican have a serious case of the Stockholm Syndrome and their Party Leaders prey on them because they are uninformed, ignorant, uneducated and brainwashed.
